Our precious little girl has been an amazing baby already
She sleeps and eats great and is so alert and strong
I loved having my family with me during the delivery. Rob, my mom and Brittany Youngclaus (my bestie) were in the room with me. They were all such a great support. Momma Babs and Ahjenae were able to be in there for a short time as well. Thanks you girls and Rob for all your support. The delivery was awesome. I recommend the epidural to EVERYONE! I think the most painful part of the day was the IV to start the patocyn, and a few of the contractions before the epidural. I was dialated to a 4 before I got it.

There really aren't WORDS, are there? To say that she's beautiful is an understatement. Beyond perfect. Congratulations you guys! Happy parenting! Amazing how someone just 7 lbs. (or not even) can completely change your lives forever. A good change, wouldn't you say? LOVE YOU ALL!

Hi Cody! I think I met you one time (my husband's band played with DB & the Struggle)...I used to be friends with Rob before his mission. Anyway, I've been reading your blogs for a little while and I just think you are so cute. I have been excited for you guys everytime you update about baby Maycee. She is absolutely beautiful. Congrats Cody on your princess! She is beautiful just like you. October is a great month, I really wanted her to be born on my birthday but two days before is ok I guess ;) I'm glad labor went good and hope you are healing ok. Enjoy every second of the newborn stage,it may be tough at times, but it goes too fast!Luv ya

Baby Feet
Tell me, what is half so sweet
As a baby's tiny feet,
Pink and dainty as can be,
Like a coral from the sea?
Talk of jewels strung in rows,
Gaze upon those little toes,
Fairer than a diadem,
With the mother kissing them!
It is morning and she lies
Uttering her happy cries,
While her little hands reach out
For the feet that fly about.
Then I go to her and blow
Laughter out of every toe;

Tiny footprints on my face.
Little feet that do not know
Where the winding roadways go,
